Owl City is set to release his new single “Deer In The Headlights” next week via his own web site and all digital retailers. In anticipation of the release, he’s giving fans a little glimpse into his creative process this week. Fans can literally watch the song unfold before their eyes starting today when he kicks off a Pro Tools-like player via the home page of www.owlcitymusic.com. Over next 5 days he’ll stream a new layer of the song each day through the player; today the drums, tomorrow an added bass line, then guitars, etc. Fans can come back every day this week to listen to the creation of the new single, with the full song streaming on Friday May 20th and available via all digital retailers on May 23rd.

Owl City will be following up to his platinum debut on June 14th with the release of his new album All Things Bright and Beautiful on Universal Republic. To celebrate the new album, Owl City will be kicking off a world headlining tour in the US a day before release on June 13th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
